The 47-year-old arrested for sexual assault on a minor boy has denied the charges. The man, who appeared before the Barcelona investigating judge Giuseppe Caristia, defended himself by denying any wrongdoing. The investigations by the Carabinieri of the Milazzo Company, coordinated by the Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto Prosecutor’s Office directed by the Prosecutor Giuseppe Verzera, were started following the complaint presented by the boy’s mother.
The episode apparently occurred the day before the report in Giammoro, a hamlet of Pace del Mela where the minor was spending a few hours with other boys near the sea as a guest of a relative.
The boy had told his mother that the man had lured him to the beach on a pretext while he was playing with other boys. He would have taken advantage of a moment of isolation to consummate the abuse.
The boy then confided in his mother telling her what would have happened on the beach. In light of what was reconstructed by the police, the investigating judge therefore deemed it necessary to adopt the precautionary measure against the man who was transferred to the Barcelona prison.
