We wrote in unsuspecting times that roads and access to the city are among the main problems that the new municipal administration will have to face. We were easy prophets because reality confirms that it is becoming an increasingly complicated undertaking to enter the city. It is usually difficult to enter coming from the southern suburbs, but for a few days it has also become difficult for those coming from the northern suburbs. And the endless queues of vehicles, which are created in the direction of Gallico-Reggio, made the city councilor Giuseppe Giordano jump. who hopes for “an urgent discussion with Anas to identify urgent solutions and reduce the inconvenience for the people of Reggio”.
In fact, the inconveniences that are occurring along the A2 Mediterranean Motorway – Reggio Calabria branch, in particular in the section of the “Torbido” viaduct, where there is a narrowing of the road between the Gallico and Reggio Calabria Porto junctions, are truly unsustainable.
The restriction is causing endless queues and queues every day, causing enormous inconvenience to motorists, with vehicular traffic significantly slowed down and travel times significantly increased along the entire affected stretch and, especially during rush hours, entering the city has become an exercise in patience.
