From the early hours of today, 4 May 2026, Public Administration employees can view the net amount of their salary in the reserved area of the NoiPA portal, via the “Payment Consultation” function. The May payslip is particularly awaited for the verification of income support bonuses and for the advance of the ordinary due date.

The news on the May payslip

1. Payment due on April 25th (holiday not taken)

In 2026, Liberation Day fell on a Saturday. For staff with a short week (Monday-Friday) or for those who were not in service, the May payslip (or the June payslip, depending on the administrative timing) may contain the allowance for the holiday not taken, calculated as 1/26 of the professional salary.

2. Decontribution and Mothers’ Bonus

Based on the legislation in force in 2026, the contribution exemption follows strict criteria:

  • Mothers with 3 or more children: The 100% contribution exemption continues (IVS share paid by the worker) up to a maximum of €250 per month.
  • Mothers with 2 children: The automatic benefit provided for in the two-year period 24/25 has expired. Any support in 2026 depends on the ISEE thresholds and the new measures provided for by the latest Budget Law, often provided through separate flows or upon application.

3. IVS exemption (Cuneo cut)

The cut in social security contributions for medium-low incomes remains confirmed:

  • 7% for those with a taxable salary of less than €1,923.
  • 6% for those with a taxable salary of less than €2,692.
