Alec Segaert of Bahrain Victorious won the twelfth stage of the Giro d’Italia, the 175 kilometer Imperia-Novi Ligure.

The Belgian rider made the decisive attack about three kilometers from the finish line, managing to precede the group and take the stage victory.

Group sprint to Aerts

Behind Segaert, the group was regulated in the sprint by another Belgian, Toon Aerts, who preceded the other sprinters at the finish line in Novi Ligure.

Eulalio retains the pink jersey

However, the general ranking does not change. In fact, the pink jersey remains on the shoulders of Afonso Eulalio, also a representative of Bahrain Victorious.
