The criminal escalation in the Vibo area does not stop. During the night, the car of the Nocita municipal manager, which was parked near the Vibo Pizzo station, was set on fire. In recent weeks, the manager of the urban planning sector had also been the victim of an attack in the Vibo airport.

The municipal administration of Vibo Valentia expresses deep concern and disdain for the new episode that occurred yesterday evening, when the car of municipal manager Andrea Nocita was set on fire while it was parked at the Vibo-Pizzo station. This is a very serious fact, which shortly follows the vile attack suffered by the same manager a few weeks ago. The repetition of episodes of this nature takes on the contours of the disturbing and cannot be tolerated or minimized in any way. Hitting a man serving an institution like our Municipality means hitting the entire Vibo community. The mayor and the entire administration endorse the sentiment widespread among citizens, who forcefully ask for clarity, safety and protection for those who work daily in the service of the city. For this reason we are alongside all the competent institutions so that full light is shed on what happened and those responsible are identified as soon as possible. Vibo Valentia is a community that rejects violence and does not accept attempts at intimidation. As an administration we will continue to work with determination, in the belief that the most effective response to these acts is the cohesion of the institutions, closeness to its employees and the defense of legality in all its forms. We renew our solidarity and closeness to Andrea Nocita, certain that the city will be able to react with maturity and unity.
