He must serve a sentence of 14 years, 3 months and 29 days in prison which was inflicted on him for the crimes of criminal association aimed at trafficking in narcotic substances. For this reason, the Carabinieri of the Tenenza of Isola Capo Rizzuto arrested DR, a 40-year-old local man, against whom they carried out a sentence expiation order issued by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of Appeal of Catanzaro. In fact, with the ruling of the Court of Cassation last April, the sentence that was inflicted on the man in the context of the trial resulting from the Golgotha operation which in February 2021 dismantled two criminal organizations dedicated to drug trafficking, that of the Mannolos of San Leonardo di Cutro and that of the Arena-Nicoscia of Isola Capo Rizzuto, became definitive. Two groups initially united but then went to war due to internal conflicts, the first led by Claudio Santo Papaleo, with the supervision of the Nicoscia, the other managed by the Mannolo family who trafficked along the Ionian strip between the provinces of Crotone and Catanzaro. After the formalities, the man was transferred to the Catanzaro prison, where he will remain at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
