The NAS of Reggio Calabria, with the support of the competent territorial Arm, executed an urgent preventive seizure decree and a search decree issued by the local Prosecutor’s Office against a person under investigation, for various reasons, for abusive practice of the professions of trichologist and psychologist and replacement of person in the healthcare sector.
The operation represents the outcome of a complex investigative activity coordinated by the Reggio Public Prosecutor’s Office and conducted by the NAS, as a result of which serious clues would be acquired regarding the exercise of the professions of trichologist and psychologist by a person without the necessary qualifications.
The existence of the evidence was also recognized by the investigating judge, who validated the preventive seizure of the studio, the websites and the email address through which the professional operated.
According to what emerged from the investigations, the suspect attracted numerous customers through websites in which he illustrated, indicating professional titles that did not correspond to those he possessed, his skills and the trichological problems in which he could have intervened. The soldiers of the Anti-Sophistication Unit, through observation and shadowing services, collection of testimonies and documentary analysis, would have ascertained that the subject carried out specialist visits and healthcare activities without being in possession of the necessary educational qualifications and the consequent professional qualifications.
Furthermore, it emerged that the same subject had already been arrested in the past for similar conduct, as well as convicted for these facts.
The provisions issued by the Prosecutor’s Office were therefore executed, simultaneously notifying the information of guarantee and proceeding with the preventive seizure of two websites and an email address used to procure clients, as well as a medical trichology clinic and the related clinical equipment deemed functional to the abusive practice of the contested healthcare professions.
