Another case of violence consumed in the silence of a relationship that ended badly. In Petilia Policastro, in the Crotone area, a young man was arrested by the Carabinieri on charges of mistreatment of his ex-partner after a brutal attack which occurred at the end of a violent argument.
According to what was reconstructed by the soldiers of the local station, everything exploded yesterday night, when the woman – hit with kicks and punches – found the strength to ask for help. A phone call which triggered the immediate intervention of the police, who arrived on site within a few minutes. But behind that episode, according to investigative findings, a much broader spiral of violence was hidden: threats, abuse and aggression that continued over time within the romantic relationship. A difficult picture, which emerged thanks to the victim’s declarations and the elements gathered immediately by the men of the force. This resulted in the young man being arrested in flagrante delicto.
After the formalities, the man was placed under house arrest at the disposal of the judicial authority.
