Two projects stopped, but the wind power race between the Vibonese and Catanzaro areas does not stop. If the “Piano del Campo” park, planned in the Angitola area, was recently rejected by the Region due to serious documentary deficiencies and technical inconsistencies, and the “Carbonaio” plant had already been stopped in 2023 after failing to pass the environmental impact assessment, numerous fronts still remain open.
In fact, between the Region and the Ministry, 5 proposals are pending, for a total of 45 wind turbines which risk being added to the many already installed, defacing one of the most beautiful and peculiar territories of Calabria.
