Marc Marquez wins the sprint of the Hungarian Grand Prix, eighth round of the MotoGP World Championship. The Spanish Ducati rider, who returned to Mugello just a week ago after a double operation on his shoulder and foot, dominated the short race from start to finish, ahead of his compatriot Pedro Acosta on the KTM.

Marco Bezzecchi’s Aprilia closes on the podium, leader of the world championship standings, ahead of the Spaniards Raul Fernandez (Aprilia Trackhouse) and Fermin Aldeguer (Ducati Gresini).

Bagnaia doesn’t go beyond ninth place

Sixth position for Jorge Martin (Aprilia), ahead of Diogo Moreira (Honda Lcr) and Enea Bastianini (Ktm Tech3). Closing out the top 10 are Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati) and Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati VR46).

The long race is scheduled for tomorrow at 2pm.
