Twenty-two oral warnings, eleven Daspo and two mandatory warnings. It is the balance sheet of the prevention measures adopted in the month of May by the Police Chief of Reggio Calabria, on the basis of the territorial control and judicial police activity carried out by the prevention and investigative apparatus of the Police Headquarters, in synergy with the other Police Forces.
In detail, 22 oral warnings were issued, instructing the recipients to maintain conduct in compliance with the law. Further prescriptions were imposed on two subjects, already burdened by final sentences for non-negligent crimes. Violation of these provisions constitutes a crime punishable by imprisonment from one to three years and a fine.
Eleven Daspo and two compulsory dismissal notices
During the same period, 11 measures prohibiting access to places where sporting events are held (Daspo) were adopted, lasting between one and five years, against individuals who engaged in violent conduct during sporting events in the province.
The Police Commissioner also issued two mandatory warnings. One concerns a person resident in Campania, suspected of crimes against property and, in particular, of a scam committed in the province, who was banned from returning for four years. A similar provision was adopted against a resident of Oppido Mamertina, accused of crimes against property, who will not be able to access the municipality of Varapodio for two years.
Five warnings and three special surveillance with obligation to stay
Five warning measures were also issued, aimed at preventing and containing conflict in interpersonal relationships.
Two proposals were presented to the Prevention Measures section of the Court of Reggio Calabria for special public security surveillance with an obligation to stay for subjects deemed socially dangerous, included in delinquent contexts relating to organized crime and the domestic sphere.
In the same period, the Court – Prevention Measures section – issued three special public security surveillance decrees with a two-year residence obligation against as many subjects distinguished in the commission of crimes against property and in violation of the legislation on drugs, including in association form, accepting the proposals previously formulated by the Police Commissioner.
Through targeted interventions, the State Police continues its monitoring and prevention activities of criminal phenomena that affect the safety and peaceful coexistence of citizens, confirming its commitment to the protection of legality in the area.
