The American entrepreneur arrived in the city late this morning and – as he himself had anticipated a few weeks ago – he did not do so on holiday. The president of Campobasso, strongly determined to acquire the amaranth club, has relaunched the offer of over 2 million euros presented last week. An offer that has not yet received a response, testifying to the fact that on other tables and with sufficiently advanced discussions.

So why did Matt Rizzetta arrive in Reggio Calabria? It is unlikely that he did so with the transferring party, considering that the majority shareholder of Reggina resides in Catania. More likely, however, his arrival depended on the desire to illustrate his project to the institutions. One way or another, developments are expected. Certainly if the offer is starting to rise much higher than that advanced by competitors, it is not so unlikely that there could be a sensational backlash. The outlook remains complicated at the moment.
