The long-distance clash between Donald Trump and Giorgia Meloni has turned into a diplomatic case with concrete consequences and is making the rounds in the international media, from the British to the Indian press. At the origin, the US president’s statements to La7, according to which the prime minister had “begged” him for a photo at the G7: words branded by Meloni as “completely invented”. In terms of bilateral relations, Minister Antonio Tajani canceled the mission to the United States and the Farnesina canceled the Miami Forum.

The fracture has an immediate impact: in light of the cancellation of Tajani’s visit, the business and scientific forum scheduled in Miami on Monday 22 June will not be held.
