The controversy over the location hypotheses of an equally hypothetical “new hospital” for the regional capital does not subside. After the statements made to Gazzetta del Sud by the national representative of the Democratic Party Jasmine Cristallo, the tone has risen. The motivation lies in the clear position taken by the Catanzaro dem who, breaking the hesitation and political tactics, said that the hypothesis of a new hospital must coincide with its establishment in the Germaneto area.
A clear position, which arrived just as the spontaneous committee in defense of the “Pugliese” was activated in the Tre Colli, which had already responded harshly to Cristallo on Thursday. Yesterday, the former president of the Calabrian Regional Council, Domenico Tallini, also had his say. Tallini, who signed the Committee’s request, lashed out against the Democratic Party: «I imagine the embarrassment of the many “comrades who make mistakes” who have convincingly joined the “L’Ospedale al Pugliese” Committee. Among these, if I remember correctly, there are many historical and prominent figures of the left and of the Democratic Party in particular.”
