Less than two weeks after the episode that brought her to the attention of national news, Nives Ingemi begins a new phase of her professional career. The young State Police official is in fact among the six new commissioners assigned to the Reggio Calabria Police Headquarters by the Chief of Police after the conclusion of the 114th training course at the Higher Police School of Rome.

Nives Ingemi, 28 years old, originally from Villafranca Tirrena and graduated in Law, is now serving in the Reggio area together with the other new commissioners assigned to the province.

From the swearing-in party to the intervention against a robbery

The name of the young commissioner hit the headlines in mid-June, less than twenty-four hours after the oath of loyalty to the Republic.

The evening following the ceremony, while he was in a pizzeria in Piazza Monte Gaudio, in the Trionfale district of Rome, to celebrate the milestone he had just achieved with his family, the place was the scene of an armed robbery.

According to what has been reconstructed, two men with their faces covered had broken into the room armed with knives and a gun, which later proved to be a compressed air gun.

The intervention together with her policeman boyfriend

The reaction of the new commissioner was immediate. At her side was her boyfriend, Andrea Sciacca, deputy inspector of the State Police on duty at the Milan Police Headquarters.

The two had faced the robbers, managing to disarm and immobilize one of the perpetrators of the robbery, who was later known to the police and found to be in possession of cocaine.

The episode had attracted the attention of the national media, transforming what should have been a simple evening of celebration into a real field test for the young official.

From today the service in Reggio Calabria

Now the professional chapter in Reggio begins for Nives Ingemi. Together with the other five commissioners assigned to the Police Headquarters, she was received by the Police Commissioner Paolo Sirna, who addressed the new officials with a welcome greeting and good wishes for their work.

During the morning, the new commissioners were also received by the Prefect Clara Vaccaro, who underlined the importance of their professional path serving the institutions and the community.

For the young commissioner, already the protagonist of an intervention that got the whole of Italy talking, this is how her professional experience in the city of the Strait begins.
