The future of digital Europe chose to stop and reflect in the Caldora room at Unical. It is there that the discussion began yesterday, promoted by the Dimes, Demacs and Dectar departments, on one of the decisive issues of our time: European technological sovereignty in the era of AI and cybersecurity. The first day of the conference “The challenge of European digital sovereignty between AI and cybersecurity – A strategic turning point for the South” had the merit of removing the topic from simplifications. Because the game being played around algorithms, data and infrastructure security does not only concern laboratories and technological companies. AI concerns democracy, work, freedom and even the concept of man.
