A new earthquake of magnitude 4.8 hit the coast of Venezuela and was also felt in Caracas, as the country continues to deal with the consequences of Wednesday’s devastating double earthquake which caused at least 1,430 deaths.
According to USGS, the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred at 3.20pm local time (9.20pm in Italy). The epicenter was located at sea, about 30 kilometers north-west of El Limòn, in the state of Aragua, not far from the Venezuelan capital. The tremor was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers. No damage has been reported at this time.
