A reconfirmation that takes on a political and institutional significance of particular importance, because it rewards the work carried out in the last two and a half years and consolidates Calabria’s presence in the national tables dedicated to agriculture and food sovereignty. Mario Porco was reconfirmed as the sole representative of the Calabria Region in the National Department of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty of Forza Italia Giovani, becoming part of the new national team, completely renewed and composed of representatives of all the Italian regions.
The confirmation takes on even greater weight considering that Mario Porco is among the few members of the previous Department to have once again obtained the trust of the national management. A result that recognizes the path pursued continuously, the constant comparison with the territory and the activity carried out in collecting requests from the agricultural sector, helping to bring them to the attention of the competent national bodies.
The presence of Calabria in the national Department represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen the dialogue between the territory and the institutions, encouraging direct discussion on the main needs of the agricultural and agri-food sector. In a phase in which Italian agriculture is called upon to face decisive challenges – from innovation to the competitiveness of companies, from generational turnover to the protection of quality production – being able to count on stable representation at a national level constitutes an added value for the entire regional agricultural system.

In the new role, Mario Porco will continue to play a liaison role between the territory and the institutional level, promoting constant dialogue with the national manager of the Agriculture sector of Forza Italia, Raffaele Nevi, and with the regional councilor for Agriculture of Calabria, Gianluca Gallo, with the aim of encouraging increasingly effective collaboration between the different institutional levels and transforming the needs of farmers into concrete proposals to be brought to the attention of the Government and the competent Ministry.
