The funeral of Alessio Pio, the 18-month-old child who died in recent days in the Catanzaro hospital after hospitalization, will take place today at 4.30 pm in Zungri, a small town in the Vibonese area.
On the occasion of the funeral the municipal administration proclaimed city mourning.
The condolences of the community
With an institutional manifesto, the mayor Serafino Fiamingo, the municipal administration and the entire citizenry expressed their condolences for the premature death of the child.
“The mayor, the municipal administration and the entire community participate with deep emotion in the collective pain for the premature death of little Alessio Pio”, we read in the manifesto, which goes on to express “deep solidarity, closeness and condolences in this moment of terrible suffering” to the family.
