He spoke for an hour and three minutes. Over 50 of which were spent to describe a “now changed Sicily”, with the growing economy, full coffers (“there is a surplus of 5 billion”), the investments launched to overcome the waste and water emergencies and the large construction sites opened with Webuild to improve roads and railways. Then, in the last minutes of his report to Ars, President Schifani chose, on the moral question, to defend himself by attacking. Discharging the two Forza Italia deputies who ended up under arrest but suspending judgment on the investigations involving Fratelli d’Italia and Lega. And remembering that in the past similar cases have overwhelmed members of the Democratic Party or their allies.
