Hell in the Alcantara Gorges, in the middle of the walk… the visit of the regional councilor Amata

“I will return in the next few days because my presence at the new edition of theHell of Dante” said Elvira Amata, Councilor for Tourism, Sport and Entertainment of the Sicilian Region after a quick visit to the Alcantara Gorges.

“I am sure – she added – that this edition will also excite me, as happened in previous years, and I am sure that I will find something different. I therefore look forward to being able to see it again in that theater that I saw today as a beach, set up, mind you, by Nature, like a stage”.

Welcoming Elvira Amata were the representatives of Gole Alcantara srl ​​of which Francesco Russo Morosoli is CEO, the owners of Buongiorno Sicilia, which produces the show, the director Giovanni Anfuso and the mayor of Motta Camastra Carmelo Blancato.

“Here we are – said Anfuso, also the author of the dramaturgy of Inferno – at the halfway point of our journey, that is, the third week of performances: we are very happy for the success that the show is obtaining, for the unanimous consensus of the public, of the professionals and of Elvira Amata. We have many feedback to tell us that we are doing well, putting in effort, grit and determination every evening… at the opening of the curtain, if I may say so.”

“Despite the sold out – added Ninni Trischitta, executive producer of Buongiorno Sicilia – on the evenings of the show, at the Gole we keep a box office open with a certain number of tickets reserved for people who are in the area and at the last moment, without having been able to book or purchase onlinethey decide to come and see Hell”.

And for those who want to attend the show, we remind you that, starting from Thursday 6th August, two performances per evening will be scheduled in the Gorges until Wednesday 12th. Then, it will resume on Monday 17th with a whole week of events until Sunday 23rd.

“The Gole dell’Alcantara – underlined Elvira Amata at the end of a tour of the shuttle electric in the fascinating area – they are a heavenly place where every time I discover a corner that excites me more than the previous time. Here, at this moment the sound of cicadas cancels your thoughts. If I, as a Sicilian, get so excited, I put myself in the shoes of those travelers who today choose Sicily as their holiday destination. To the Americans, to the Germans, to the many French, and I think about how much they can fall in love with this land of ours.”

A territory, that of the Gorges, which has so much to let visitors discover, as underlined by Carmelo Blancato, mayor of Motta Camastra: from naturalistic wonders, to experiences such as that of the widespread restaurant The Mothers of the Villageup to the fascinating popular festivals. And the project Alkantiawhich develops around the shows site specificis giving excellent results.

“This year too – confirmed Mayor Blancato – in collaboration with Buongiorno Sicilia, we will have sponsored evenings on the occasion of the Motta Camastra festivities, especially those of the Madonna and San Michele Arcangelo. The programme, with initiatives from the beginning to the end of August, also finds collaboration in other private entities who support the events”.

On the front of Hellare ready to give their best when Elvira Amata comes to watch the show the protagonists, that is Liliana Randi (tourist), Davide Sbrogiò (Count Ugolino), Except Piro (Virgil), Giovanna Mangiu (Francesca), Ivan Giambirtone (Ulysses), Luigi Nicotra (Dante), William Caruso (Farinata), Federico Fiorenza (Charon), Davide Pandolfo (Pig), Peter Passalacqua (Paolo Malatesta, Diomede and archbishop Ruggeri). The actors were highly applauded, as were the damned who proposed the innovative choreographies of Fia Distefano, dancing to the music of Nello Toscano. We are talking about Chiara Di Giovanni, Giulia De Marzi, Alessia Linguaglossa, Marta Marino, Gaia Palmeri, Lucio Rapisarda, Francesco Rotatore, Emiliano Sgroi, Gloria Trischitta and Federica Zuccarello. Spectators also appreciated the costumes by Riccardo Cappello, the scenic elements by Silver Ruggeri and the lights by Davide La Colla. Finally, worth mentioning are the assistant directors: Micaela De Grandi, Valentina Ferrante, Davide Pandolfo and Lucia Rotondo.
