Messinaservizi Bene Comune informs citizens that, starting from Monday 17 August, the third cycle of disinfestation interventions will begin in the municipal area, aimed at containing the presence of pest insects and mosquitoes, with particular attention to the tiger mosquito.
The activities will be carried out starting from 11pm and will progressively affect the southern, central and northern areas of the city, according to a schedule divided into days.
The intervention is part of the planning prepared for the containment of the proliferation of pest insects and for the protection of urban hygiene, in continuity with the activities already carried out in recent months across the entire municipal territory. Disinfestation represents an important measure to improve the quality of life of citizens; its effectiveness, however, also depends on the collaboration of the population. We therefore invite you to avoid stagnating water in balconies, courtyards, terraces, gardens and condominium areas, places where mosquitoes can find favorable conditions for reproduction.

During the operations, citizens are advised to avoid exposing food and clothing outdoors, shelter pets and pets, close windows and balconies and carefully wash fruit and vegetables grown in allotments and gardens located in the urban centre.
