Head-on collision between two mopeds, this morning, at 8.30, on Via Consolare Antica in Capo d’Orlando. Four local young people were involved, one of whom suffered minor injuries. According to the reconstruction provided by the traffic police, a car would have crossed the path of the two scooters. The car would have entered the Consolare Antica from a road that leads to a residential complex.
To avoid the impact, the driver of a black Zip, headed towards Messina, swerved sharply. The maneuver resulted in a collision with a white SH, in which two people were travelling. The driver of the SH fared the worst, suffering a graze on his knee and a small cut on his shoulder. Three 118 ambulances intervened on site and transported the four young people to the Sant’Agata Militello hospital for checks. The local police carried out investigations and regulated traffic along the artery.
The officers also started searching for the car, whose driver, according to witnesses, left after stopping for a few moments.
