Messina, appointments in subsidiaries. Pd on the attack: “De Luca uses them for electoral challenges”

The controversy continues over the appointments decided by the mayor Federico Basile for the top management of the municipality’s investee companies. And the Democratic Party is back in office, whose council group – Alessandro Russo, Mariella Perrone and Antonella Russo – held a press conference this morning. In addition to the concepts already expressed yesterday (“it’s a question of opportunity and political morality” said Alessandro Russo, while Perrone spoke of “mockery for those who presented the CVs, what’s the point of publishing the notices?”), the novelty, explained by Antonella Russo, lies in an agenda that will be submitted to the city council and with which, in short, the problem of failure to comply with the Madia law arises, which indicates as a general rule the appointment of sole administrators for investee companies. Rule that can be overcome, Russo clarified, “with a reasoned resolution with regard to specific reasons of organizational adequacy. The appointment decrees, however, are identical to each other. But we ask ourselves, can the need of a company with less than 10 employees be the same as that of a company that has a thousand employees?”. A regulatory issue, but also and above all a political one: “Cateno De Luca’s real choice – underlined the group leader Alessandro Russo – is to use Messina politically for the next electoral challenges”.
