The carabinieri of the Squillace station (in the province of Catanzaro) reported a 59-year-old caregiver of Bulgarian origins to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in a state of freedom. The theft occurred on August 23rd inside the home of a 97-year-old local woman. The woman, taking advantage of her home care service, unhooked and removed a precious gold necklace directly from the neck of the assisted person
Following the complaint presented by the victim, the Carabinieri carried out investigations and, in agreement with the Judicial Authority, carried out a search at the caregiver’s home. The gold necklace was found inside the 59-year-old’s home and immediately returned to the elderly owner.
