Meloni: “Targeted aid against the high cost of fuel is arriving for those who need it most”

After the renewal of the excise duty cut on diesel approved yesterday in the Council of Ministers, «we would like a measure more targeted towards consumers and users who are most in need; we would also like an easy, immediate provision for citizens, which does not create confusion, which is the most difficult part of this job and therefore required a few more days. But I am optimistic that by the first of next week, or in any case at the latest during next week, we will arrive with the measure. We are working very well on it with the majority and therefore I am very optimistic.” Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said this during a press point in Vercelli on the occasion of the inauguration of Risò, the International Rice Festival.
