The Court of Catanzaro – Prevention Measures Section, on the initiative of the Anti-Crime Division of the Vibo Valentia Police Headquarters, has decreed the resubposition to the special surveillance regime of a well-known exponent of local organized crime who recently returned to freedom awaiting determination of the final sentence in the context of the Rinascita Scott trial.
The Court has in fact recognized the social danger of the subject as persistent and current on the basis of all the reports collected by the investigative and territorial control offices.
The subject was thus notified of the decree which imposes the most serious of the personal prevention measures envisaged for those suspected of belonging to the mafia associations referred to in the art. 416 bis of the penal code: special surveillance with obligation to stay in the municipality of residence.
In compliance with the provisions of the Court, provisions restricting freedom have been imposed, ranging from the obligation to return home in the evening and not to leave the home before 6 am, to the ban on frequenting certain types of public establishments, from the ban on participating in public meetings to the obligation to sign at the Police offices, from the ban on associating with individuals with prejudices to the Police to the obligation to show the residence card at every request of the Police Officers and Agents, as well as, as mentioned, the obligation not to move from one’s country of residence.
