Another piece in the context of school buildings is added after the inauguration of the school complex of the “Pasquale Galluppi” middle school – Italian philosopher, among the most authoritative figures of epistemological thought in Italy in the 19th century – together with the adjoining gym. The citizens responded with great warmth to the invitation, appreciating the return of a completely redeveloped structure that is safer, more modern, sustainable and welcoming for students, families and all school staff.
The event, which culminated with the solemn blessing given by Father Paolo Impalà, marked the return of cutting-edge spaces ready to respond to contemporary educational needs. The ceremony saw interventions from civil and school authorities, who underlined the high social and educational value of the work. «It is an enormous joy – said the mayor Matteo Sciotto -. It was a very tiring journey, which brought together over 2 million euros between Pnrr and municipal funds to deliver a structure of the highest level and comfort. This is a historic date. We are continuing to work intensely in the field of school construction for the future of our young people.”
The manager of the Messina Territorial Area, Leon Zingales, expressed his applause. «This is a very beautiful and hopeful moment – he declared -. I congratulate you on your commitment and dedication to achieving this important goal. The fortune of young people lies precisely in following their own inclination, meeting great masters along their path.” The modernization work required a total investment of more than 2 million euros, the result of a synergy between municipal resources and Pnrr funds.
