That of Gazzi is a community deeply linked to faith and its traditions, which this year too has gathered around San Nicola di Bari, after whom the parish church is named. A celebration that goes beyond a simple religious event and which represents, for many faithful, a moment of meeting, sharing and renewed belonging to the community. At the center of the celebrations is devotion to the holy bishop, cherished over time by generations of faithful. Participation in the celebration and procession of the simulacrum constitutes one of the most heartfelt moments, when the streets of the neighborhood ideally become a place of prayer and public testimony of faith.
Leading the parish community is Father Pietro Scolaro, a pastoral point of reference for the faithful of Gazzi. Under his guidance, devotion to Saint Nicholas continues to represent a strong element of community life, combining the spiritual dimension with the daily life of a neighborhood that recognizes its church as an important meeting place. Particularly significant was the procession of the simulacrum carried on the shoulders through the streets of the neighborhood, in which the municipal councilor Nino Carreri and a delegation from the diocesan interconfraternal center participated. A moment in which the devotion of the faithful finds its most evident expression: people gather around the saint, follow the procession and entrust their prayers and hopes for the future to Saint Nicholas.
