Cosenza started strong, struck immediately, but failed to turn their lead into control and were caught by Scafatese in the second half. Clemente’s goal in the 7th minute, following a perfect cross from Giannini, rewarded a brilliant start for the rossoblù, who shortly afterwards wasted the chance to double their lead with Energe. As the minutes passed, however, Coppitelli’s team lowered their center of gravity and let the guests grow. Facciolo changes three men at half-time and Scafatese increases pressure and depth. After the danger created by Emmausso and Achour’s response, Proia missed a good opportunity with his head. In the 75th minute, Emmausso, a former player, made it 1-1 with a splendid free kick into the top corner. In the final, MacJannet also found the goal, which was disallowed for offside. Cosenza ends with the regret of not having exploited the best moment and having given up too much of the field in the second part of the match.
