Jorge Martin wins the sprint of the Austrian Grand Prix and reaches the top of the MotoGP World Championship with 286 points. In Spielberg, in the fifteenth round of the season, the Aprilia Spaniard takes advantage of Pedro Acosta’s fall and precedes Marc Marquez to the finish line, second with the Ducati at 1″026.
A mockery for Acosta, until then largely in control of the race: with three laps to go, the Ktm rider slips in turn 2 and leaves the way for Martin.
Marco Bezzecchi also gets on the podium, third with Aprilia ahead of Ai Ogura, on Aprilia Trackhouse, and Alex Marquez, on Ducati Gresini. Pecco Bagnaia finishes sixth with the Ducati, while Fabio Di Giannantonio is tenth on the Ducati VR46.
