Over 25 million euros to encourage generational change in agriculture and support the start-up of new businesses led by young people. A few months later, the Agriculture Department publishes a second tender on the establishment of young farmers, as part of the Programming Complement for Rural Development (CSR) Calabria 2023-2027.
The initiative is aimed at young people between the ages of 18 and 40 who intend to set up for the first time as head of an agricultural company, individually or in corporate form, by presenting an entrepreneurial project aimed at developing the business. The support may reach a maximum amount of 100 thousand euros per beneficiary: 70 thousand euros allocated to the implementation of the business plan and 30 thousand euros in the form of a premium for the first installation.
“With the publication of this second call, we confirm the Region’s attention towards the new generations – declares the regional councilor for Agriculture, Gianluca Gallo -. Generational turnover is a fundamental condition for the future of the sector. We want to offer young people concrete tools to transform ideas and skills into entrepreneurial projects. With an endowment of more than 25 million euros we strengthen a path already started, supporting those who choose to invest their future in agriculture”.
The intervention aims to accompany young people in the initial phase of entrepreneurial activity, supporting them in the acquisition of land, capital and the knowledge necessary for business management. Particular attention is paid to the ability of the projects to introduce innovations and sustainable production models from an environmental, economic and social perspective.
Applications can be submitted starting from 2 November 2026 and until 5pm on 23 December 2026, a non-extendable deadline, through the regional portal https://documentale.regione.calabria.it/portale/.
