The first stage of “Harmonic Innovation: Words of Hope for a Magnifica Humanitas“. A route that will then touch San Francisco and Castel Gandolfo, promoted by Entopaninternational think tank on development economics and innovation, in collaboration with Harmonic Innovation Group SpA Benefit Company and with the free patronage of Laudato Si’ Higher Education Center.
The idea arises from the urgency of fueling an expanded discussion to find answers to the challenges created by technological acceleration which – uncontrolled – is destined to generate social fractures and dehumanization. An initiative aimed at promoting concrete forms of implementation of the Magisterium of the Magnifica Humanitas through the Harmonic Innovation Ecosystem which is establishing itself as the main global platform committed to promoting an ethical, humanistic and wisdom vision of innovation and transition challenges. An absolute priority, also confirmed by the most recent alarms coming from the main global AI research laboratories and by the reflections of the sector’s leading figures themselves on the possibility of slowing down development. An urgency clearly identified by Pope Leo XIV who recalls the need to place the dignity of the person, social responsibility and care for the common good at the center of growth processes, in the era of Artificial Intelligence. Principles also underlying the paradigm of Harmonic Innovation, defined by the founder of Entopan Francesco Cicione in over twenty-five years of activity, to propose an alternative vision both to that of maximum profit – the effect of the twists of the capitalist, individualist and libertarian techno-right of Western origin – and to the Eastern model of statist-technological control.
The first Dialogue, which opens on 23 and closes on 25 September in Simeri Mare, is dedicated to the meaning of work and business, among the areas most exposed to the ongoing transformation, where the balance between business competitiveness, worker protection and the definition of new policies must be pursued. The central day of 24 September takes place in Tiriolo, at the Harmonic Innovation Hub “Pitagora”, soon to be inaugurated, destined to become the heart of the ecosystem dedicated to Harmonic Innovation, already partly represented by the many participants from the industrial, financial and academic world from Europe, America and Africa.
During the three days – in addition to more than one hundred representatives of the main national and international industrial, financial, academic and institutional players – the Vice President of the Council Antonio Tajani, the Minister of Labor and Social Policies Marina Elvira Calderone, the Minister of University and Research Anna Maria Bernini and the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso and the Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers with responsibility for innovation, Alessio Butti, will also take part. Among the many leading voices also Liam Booth-Smith, Yascha Mounk, Keyzom Ngodup Massally, Paolo Benanti, Wanda Ferro, Roberto Occhiuto, Santo Versace, Angelo Ferraro, Paolo Gentiloni, Francesco Profumo, Tiziano Treu, Renato Brunetta, Enrico Giovannini, Leonardo Becchetti, Silvana Perfetti, Andrea Cornetti, Valeria Vittimberga, Diane Galbois-Lehalle, Marco Peronaci and many others. And again: the Cardinals Matteo Maria Zuppi, Fabio Baggio and the archbishops Flavio Pace and Claudio Maniago. The work will be concluded by Francesco Cicione, President of Entopan and President and Founder of Harmonic Innovation Group and by Cardinal Baldo Reina, Vicar General of the Pope for the Diocese of Rome.
The comparison develops on two levels. In the evenings, the reflection of the plenaries and tables is accompanied by another register: music. The plenaries open and close the journey, with masterful presentations and a choral dialogue on the underlying questions: the meaning of work and business. The thematic tables transform listening into elaboration: small groups of experts work on the issues between innovation, work and personal dignity and bring the outcome to the plenary. The evenings, however, are entrusted to music, an extension of the journey in a non-discursive language, capable of restoring the same tension towards harmony.
