George Russell wins the Azerbaijan Grand Prix and reduces the gap on world championship leader Andrea Kimi Antonelli. The Mercedes driver resists in the final duel with Max Verstappen and wins the eighth success of his career.
Verstappen finished second, while completing the podium was the other Red Bull of Isack Hadjar, who on his return achieved the third top-three finish of his career.
Ferrari remains off the podium: Charles Leclerc finishes fourth and Lewis Hamilton sixth. Antonelli fits in between the two reds, fifth after starting from the rear following a qualifying to forget.
Completing the points are Arvid Lindblad with the Racing Bulls, seventh, the Haas of Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman, eighth and ninth respectively, and the Williams of Carlos Sainz, tenth.
The World Championship will return to the track next week for the Malaysian Grand Prix.
