The Council of the Calabria Region, in today’s session, on the proposal of the Councilor for Economic Development, Work and Tourism, Giovanni Calabrese, approved the operating regulations of the Regional Intervention Unit for labor policies in favor of workers of companies in crisis in Calabria. The Unit operates as a technical support structure for the management of corporate crisis situations, encouraging discussion with the social partners and promoting the coordinated activation of active labor policy tools and accompanying measures intended for the workers involved.
On the recommendation of the Councilor for Budget and Heritage, Marcello Minenna, the Council also approved the financial statement for the 2025 financial year of the Regional Agency for the Protection of the Environment of Calabria (Arpacal), which will be transmitted to the Regional Council for the relevant obligations.
With another resolution by councilor Minenna, the Guidelines for the digital growth of the Calabria Region 2026-2029 were also approved. The document arises from the need to guarantee continuity and updating of the directions already defined regarding innovation, adopting an organic and integrated approach to regional digital governance, in coherence with national and European objectives and with the regional programming tools in force. Digital transformation in fact represents a strategic factor for strengthening administrative capacity, for improving the quality and accessibility of public services, for enhancing regional information assets, for the interoperability of systems and for raising levels of data security and protection.
The adoption of the Guidelines therefore constitutes a fundamental step for the correct implementation of regional interventions regarding digital growth and for achieving the objectives of innovation and modernization of the Calabrian public administration.
