The Carabinieri of the Nardodipace and Fabrizia stations, in the province of Vibo Valentia, arrested two men residing in Locride in the act of committing the crime of house burglary.
Following the report received from some residents in the Santo Todaro hamlet, at the Operations Center of the Carabinieri Company of Serra San Bruno (VV), the soldiers intervened near a house where, according to an initial reconstruction of the facts, one of the two men had stolen jewelery and other valuables kept in the bedroom, then attempted to leave. The latter had been blocked by some people present in the area, together with an alleged accomplice who, according to the usual modus operandi, was waiting for him in a car parked nearby, ready to facilitate his escape.
The searches carried out by the operators on the first man allowed them to find valuables worth around 200 euros. At the end, the operations concluded with the arrest of the two men and their subsequent immediate release ordered by the Judicial Authority, given the low value of what was removed. Therefore, the proceeding is currently in the preliminary investigation phase and the investigative hypotheses will have to be subjected to scrutiny by the Judicial Authority.
