Leclerc second ahead of Verstappen, Hamilton finishes fourth. In a week in Mexico the Bolognese will have the chance to win the title.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli wins the United States Grand Prix and comes close to the world title. The driver from Bologna dominates on the Austin circuit and extends his lead over teammate George Russell to 123 points, only eighth at the finish line. A margin that offers him very high chances of closing the game in Mexico in a week’s time.

Leclerc on the podium, Hamilton fourth

Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari placed behind Antonelli’s Mercedes, second ahead of Max Verstappen’s Red Bull. Lewis Hamilton finishes fourth in the other Red, ahead of Lando Norris’ McLaren and Isack Hadjar’s second Red Bull.

Russell eighth, Lawson and Gasly on points

Seventh place for Oscar Piastri with McLaren, ahead of Russell. The top ten is completed by Liam Lawson, ninth with Racing Bulls, and Pierre Gasly, tenth at the wheel of Alpine.
