The knockout with Casarano left heavy waste, especially in morale. Crotone is called to react immediately, but the calendar gives no respite: league leaders Potenza are in their way. «It’s the most complicated match since the start of the championship – says coach Leandro Greco -. Potenza is the team that has shown the most identity so far: they all run, they have enthusiasm and an environment full of energy, a narrow synthetic pitch. We will find all the difficult components of our championship at the “Viviani”.
Ivan Tisci’s team, former rossoblù like Loiacono, Murano, sporting director Di Bari and goalkeeping coach Macrì, reaffirmed their solidity also in the Italian Cup: eleven changes, the same style of play and qualification achieved. A clear signal, while Crotone has to deal with the repercussions of the last knockout. «We come from a bad defeat from a mental and moral point of view, and it is the most complicated part to resolve. After a couple of days of discouragement, however, the boys recovered and worked well.” The coach does not intend to deny what has been built so far, but asks for a leap in quality in the aspects that have affected the results: «We want to continue the many things we do well, also confirmed by the data and our references. However, we know that they are not enough and that we need to improve a lot. In Potenza the margin for technical error will be very low.”
