Clear victory for Reggina over Ragusa. At the Granillo the Amaranths scored five goals against the Sicilians and continued their march to the top of the championship. A more difficult success than the score suggests, considering that especially in the first half the hosts had some difficulty in asserting their technical superiority despite the change of formation (switch from 3-5-2 to 4-3-3). In the long run, the Amaranths managed to get the three points without too many difficulties and that was what counted after a dull performance like that of Favara.

Three goals already in the first half hour of play: Reggina ahead with Guida (launched from a tower by Abonckelet), before the Sicilian equalizer signed by da Golfo (nice turn in the area following the development of a placed shot) and the new advantage achieved by Acquadro with a masterful free kick. At the start of the second half the hosts found the third goal again with Guida (personal brace) and once they found themselves in numerical superiority (Torres sent off for a second yellow card) they easily controlled the match. In the final the goals that rounded the score: Franchini for the 4-2 amaranth (served by Guida and good at finding space in the area), Capone for Ragusa (nice right-footed shot from distance) and Rosario Girasole (header from a corner).
