A Botricello Day of Environmental Education with schools, collected 2.2 tons of paper

Over two tons of paper collected by the Comprehensive Institute “Ilaria Alpi” of Botricello as part of the environmental education day organized by the municipal administration, by the same school and the city council of the children led by the mayor Baby Francesco Aiello,.
The goal of the event was to protect the environment, highlighting the need to enhance the waste separate collection system and the consequent recycling. The collaboration of families and the company Sea Srl who manages the service is fundamental.
The pupils of the kindergarten, primary and secondary schools participated in the project.
The collection of paper, for a total of over 2.2 tons, was carried out by the pupils’ families and the school itself.
The vehicles of the Sea company collected all the differentiated material in the three school complexes. An operation to which pupils and school staff attended, all enthusiastic about the results achieved in a spirit of full participation.
The initiative is part of a large environmental education program wanted by both the municipal administration and the comprehensive institute, thanks also to the sensitivity of the city council of the children who has managed, in the last three years, various activities of the genre also with the involvement of environmental associations ..
During the event, the school manager Isabella brand He underlined the importance of the environmental education project that involved pupils, teaching staff and families, confirming a very strong collaboration. Theme also taken up by the Mayor Saverio Simone Puccio who focused on the need to enhance the waste separate collection system. Also present at the event the owner of the Gaetano Ierimonti company, the technical director Aldo Nicolazzi and the service manager Raffaele Galea, who thanked the students for the important result achieved and for saving the life of the trees guaranteeing the recycling of the card. The company has collaborated in the awareness project by donating dozens of packs of toilet paper to the school and dried rolls.
