The bomb was found inside a construction sitefor the realization of the university residences, by staff of a company specialized in systematic remediation for the identification of war devices, on the Campus of the Magna Graecia University of Catanzaro, near the sports facilities.
The carabinieri of the Catanzaro Santa Maria station, received the report, went immediately to the spot. Once the presence of the Origno, they requested the intervention of the anti -Sabottosing bombers of the Provincial Carabinieri Command of Catanzaro, which given the proximity of the University Polyclinic and the university complex of Germaneto, after informing the Prefecture of Catanzaro, for urgent reasons of public order and safety, proceeded to the operations of safety of the bomb.
The bomb was removed from the specialists of the Carabinieri weapon and was made “shine” at a quarry, avoiding any other any danger.
