A kilo and two hundred grams of cocaine, hidden under the passenger seat of their car: this is what the financiers of the Provincial Command of Cosenza discovered during a control operation near the motorway junction of the capital. To end up in handcuffs a young Calabrian, stopped while trying to enter the inhabited center coming from the province of Reggio Calabria.
During the patrolling activity, the military of the Cosenza group noticed the car and decided to proceed with the control. The driver’s nervous attitude suspected the agents, who thus decided to deepen the checks, also involving the dog unit with the anti -drug dog Alma.
The intuition proved to be founded: hidden under the seat, the military found a dough of white powder. The subsequent investigations at the Guardia di Finanza barracks confirmed that it was cocaine, for a total weight of 1.2 kg.
The substance was immediately seized and the young man was arrested in the act of crime. At the disposal of the judicial authority, the suspect was transferred to the Cosenza district house on charges of detention and illegal transport of drugs.
The carabinieri of the operational and radio sections from the territorial department of Corigliano Rossano – with the coordination by the Prosecutor of Castrovillari, directed by Alessandro D’Alessio – they have instead A 29 -year -old from the place, seriously suspected of the crime of “possession of amazing substance aimed at the transfer to third parties“. The military already in recent days had noticed suspicious movements around the home of a 29 year old resident in the Schiavonea maritime center. For this reason they carried out a home search in the identified house. During the control in the young man of the young man, hidden in an extremely accurate way, a vacuum pack was found, which was later being beyond 150 grams, of amazing substance of the marijuana type. Substance recovered later also in another dose already packaged and ready to be sold. The military control activities have also made it possible to recover a precision balance and other material with which the individual doses of the drug could be packaged.
