Administrative elections, in Sicily we vote on 24 and 25 May. 71 Municipalities at the polls

The polling stations for the administrative elections in Sicily will be open on Sunday 24 May from 7 am to 11 pm and on Monday 25 May from 7 am to 3 pm. In the case of a second round of voting, voting will take place on Sunday 7 June from 7 am to 11 pm and on Monday 8 June from 7 am to 3 pm.

Yesterday the decree was published with the definitive list of local authorities called to the polls, which are 71 in total. Of these, 54 will elect mayors and city councilors with the majority system, while the other 17 (with a population exceeding 15 thousand inhabitants) will instead vote with proportional representation. The capitals where people will go to the polls are Agrigento, Enna and Messina.

In detail:

in the Agrigento area, 9 Municipalities will go to vote: in addition to Agrigento, Camastra, Cammarata, Casteltermini, Raffadali, Ribera, Sambuca di Sicilia, Siculiana, Villafranca Sicula;

in Nisseno there are 7: Bompensiere, Mussomeli, Santa Caterina Villarmosa, Serradifalco, Sutera, Vallelunga Pratameno, Villalba;

in the Catania area 9: Bronte, Calatabiano, Mascali, Milo, Pedara, Randazzo, San Giovanni la Punta, San Pietro Clarenza, Trecastagni;

in Ennese 6: in addition to the capital, Agira, Centuripe, Nicosia, Pietraperzia, Valguarnera Caropepe;

in the Messina area 17: in addition to the capital, Alì Terme, Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, Basicò, Giardini Naxos, Graniti, Limina, Malfa, Malvagna, Merì, Milazzo, Mirto, Naso, Raccuja, San Salvatore di Fitalia, Saponara, Savoca;

in the Palermo area 16: Aliminusa, Altofonte, Caltavuturo, Campofelice di Fitalia, Carini, Godrano, Gratteri, Isola delle Femmine, Lascari, Misilmeri, Polizzi Generosa, Pollina, Santa Cristina Gela, Scillato, Termini Imerese, Villabate;

in the Ragusa area 1: Ispica;

in the Syracusan 3: Augusta, Floridia, Lentini;

in the Trapani area 3: Campobello di Mazara, Gibellina, Marsala.
