A series of seismic shocks were recorded in the night by the Ingv – Etneo Observatory of Catania, at sea, off the island of Salina, in the Aeolian Islands. The sequence began with a first shock of magnitude 2.9, at 00:52 at a depth of 12 kilometers.
Two minutes later it was recorded Another more intense shock, of magnitude 3.3always in the same area and a depth of 10 kilometers. This shock was clearly felt by the population, not only in Salina but also in some of the upper areas of Lipari. A third shock, of magnitude 2.0, was detected at 01:00, followed by two other slight replicas at 02:26 (magnitude 2.4) and 03:57 (magnitude 2.0), all at a depth between 12 and 13 kilometers. There are no damage to people or things.
