Green light for the establishment of the school complex in Ginostra (Stromboli) in the Aeolian Islands. This was decided by the Regional School Office for Sicily as part of the plan for sizing the school network for the 2026/2027 school year in the province of Messina. The green light is therefore given to the reopening, after more than twenty years, of a school in the hamlet and, therefore, to the attendance, in the first primary class, of a girl who will turn six in the next few months. The little girl is the daughter of a woman of Ginostra origins, a housewife and municipal delegate, and of a Tunisian man, who moved to Ginostra in 2018, where he manages a construction company. The municipal council of Lipari, chaired by the mayor Riccardo Gullo, with a view to guaranteeing the right to education even in that small community, had approved the proposal to open the school complex, forwarding it to the provincial school office of Messina and to the school director of the Aeolian Islands comprehensive institute. The same school office also authorized the establishment of a nursery school in the municipality of Leni (Salina).
