Everything as planned: once the Franchini era is over, Luciano Vigna, President Occhiuto’s trusted man, arrives at the top of Sacal. Thus a new chapter opens for the management company of the Calabrian ports, after the shareholders’ meeting yesterday officially closed the long season linked to the figure of the sole director Marco Franchini, who went to cover the position of councilor in the municipal council of Reggio Calabria.
Luciano Vigna, head of Cabinet of the President of the Calabria Region Roberto Occhiuto, was elected at the top of the new corporate governance, with the position of president. Alongside Vigna, the Board of Directors includes Martina Maria Battaglia, who represents the “Reggina” share within the corporate balance, and the entrepreneur from Lamezia Angelo Ferraro, whose appointment is already inflaming the local political debate: if in fact on the one hand Ferraro is officially indicated as the direct expression of the Municipality of Lamezia Terme and of the mayor Mario Murone, on the other hand a political background emerges linked to the preview on social media of the name of Angelo Ferraro by Pino Galati, seasoned regional coordinator of Noi Moderati, who suggests that the choice of the entrepreneur from Lamezia was most likely supported or directly indicated by Galati himself, confirming the weight and political influence that the latter exercises on the work of mayor Murone.
