The Crotone Football Club, regarding the alleged episode of racial discrimination attributed to one of its members and which allegedly occurred during the match played yesterday at the Alberto Pinto Stadium against Casertana, intends to absolutely deny any reconstruction in this sense, believing rather that what was reported could be the result of a misunderstanding on the part of the person directly involved, a circumstance also supported by the fact that near the point where the episode allegedly occurred the fourth official of the match was present, who, in case of real offense, would have intervened immediately by reporting the incident and determining the adoption of direct disciplinary action on the field.
The Club’s commitment to ethical and sporting values
The company, which has always been committed to promoting the values of respect, inclusion and sporting loyalty, decisively rejects any accusation of racism or discrimination, considering it unfounded and unsubstantiated. Their members have never engaged in behavior of this nature, as also confirmed by the climate of mutual respect that has always characterized relations with the opposing team, beyond the healthy sporting rivalry.
Collaboration with the authorities and protection of the image
The Club will collaborate fully with the competent authorities to ensure that the incident is clarified as quickly as possible, with the aim of ascertaining the truth of the facts and protecting its image, which cannot ignore fundamental values that have always been part of its history and identity.
