The national secretary of the Democratic Party, Elly Schlein, will be in Amendolara on Saturday afternoon to participate in the demonstration promoted by the CGIL after the death of four agricultural workers, killed in a tragic episode that shook the entire territory. This was made known by the Calabria Democratic Party through a note.
The “Let’s Stay Human” march
The demonstration, entitled “Let’s Stay Human”, will start at 4.30 pm with a procession that will start from the service station where the tragedy occurred and then end in the center of the Ionian municipality.
The initiative was organized to keep attention high on the conditions of agricultural workers and to express closeness to the families of the victims.
Landini is also expected
The general secretary of the CGIL, Maurizio Landini, will also take part in the event, who will be present together with representatives of the union and numerous associative and institutional entities.
The participation of Schlein and Landini gives the initiative national relevance, at a time when the issue of safety and protection of workers returns to the center of public debate after the death of the four workers.
