The family of a teenager of North Carolina took the airline to court American Airlinesarguing that a flight attendant had placed an iPhone inside the toilet to record her while she used the bathroom.
The episode dates back to September, but the complaint was filed today in North Carolina District Court. Lawyers for the 14-year-old girl and her parents said the company “knew or should have known that the flight attendant was a danger.”
The attempt by the other crew members to seize his cell phone allowed the accused to destroy the cell phone. American Airlines said it “removed” the flight attendant immediately after the incident and that he has not been employed since.
