«Maximum trust in the judiciary» and «full collaboration with the judicial authority». This is what the municipal administration of Reggio Calabria states in a note released after the arrests made this morning as part of a corruption investigation.
«The municipal administration of Reggio Calabria – we read – places maximum trust in the work of the judiciary and will provide maximum collaboration to the judicial authority in order to fully ascertain the facts which are the subject of the investigation which today led to the execution of a precautionary custody order issued at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Reggio Calabria».
“Commitment against corruptive episodes”
In the note, the organization underlines how “an activity aimed at preventing corruption episodes” and implementing “best practices aimed at implementing the transparency of administrative action” has been underway for some time.
The Administration also highlights that any responsibilities will have to be ascertained in the competent bodies: «Individual episodes, which will also have to be ascertained following the outcome of the investigations and any future developments in the competent judicial bodies, do not affect the work of hundreds of municipal employees».

The Municipality concludes by highlighting the daily commitment of the organisation’s staff: «Every day they carry out their work with honesty and rectitude at the service of the Reggio community».
